Getting started with your first project

A project in Geony is one brand in one market. You set it up once, and after that it measures on its own at the rhythm you choose. That is how you get from nothing to your first figures.

Create an organisation and a project

You log in with your Google account. The organisation is the highest level: your projects, your users and your billing sit beneath it. An agency creates a separate workspace per client; a brand often gets by with a single organisation.

For your first project, the onboarding asks about your role, your industry and your main competitors. Geony uses those answers to suggest sensible starting questions and competitors, so you do not begin with a blank screen.

Choose your questions

A question is what a customer would ask an AI assistant, not your own brand name. You write them yourself, or let the Question Lab make suggestions based on your industry. You can read more about that in the article on choosing good customer questions.

Set the measurement rhythm and start

You decide whether a project measures daily, weekly or monthly. Each question is repeated several times per measurement round across ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, so every figure gets a confidence interval.

After the first round you see the visibility matrix, the trend lines, the source analysis and a task list with concrete actions. From there it is a matter of measuring, reading and following through.
