Choosing good customer questions

Geony does not measure whether your brand name appears somewhere, but whether you are mentioned when someone asks a real question. That makes the questions the most important thing you set up yourself.

Ask the way your customer asks, not the way you sell

The strongest questions do not contain your brand name. Someone already searching for you is already convinced; the gain lies in the questions where you are not yet mentioned. Think 'best X for Y in the Netherlands' or 'how do I choose a Z', not 'is brand A any good'.

Mix broad and specific questions

Broad category questions show whether you are on the radar at all; specific questions show whether you are mentioned for a concrete need. Together they give a fairer picture than either one alone.

Use the Question Lab

The Question Lab suggests questions based on your industry and can translate them into other markets and languages. Handy as a starting point, but go over them: you know better than a model what your customer really types.

Measure often enough per question

An assistant answers slightly differently every time. That is why Geony repeats each question several times per round. Better to pick a handful of questions that are measured often than a long list you hit only once: a narrow basis gives a wide interval.
